With over 26 years of experience in the beauty and makeup industry, Amanda brings a wealth of expertise and passion to CTSW. For the past 13 years, she has taught Beauty Therapy and Makeup Artistry, working across a range of teaching establishments and inspiring learners to build their skills, confidence and creativity. Amanda continues to practise her craft alongside teaching, running a home-based beauty business where she offers a wide range of treatments. Over the years, many of her clients have become close friends — something she values deeply, as it reflects the importance she places on kindness, trust and genuine connection. Passionate about equality and respect, Amanda believes in helping others feel valued and supported, both in and out of the classroom. Nothing gives her more joy than helping someone to feel good about themselves, or seeing a learner achieve something they never thought possible. She describes herself as someone who always strives to “straighten someone’s crown” and help them become the best version of themselves. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending quality time with her family, dining out at restaurants, and going to the cinema with her partner. She also loves long weekends away, especially those that involve relaxing in hot tubs, and finds reading in the sunshine one of life’s simple pleasures. For a real treat, she indulges in Elemis facials and hot stone massages. What Amanda enjoys most about CTSW is the “super-duper” team she is surrounded by. She values the shared commitment to student experience and the strong sense of teamwork, where every member of staff is focused on giving learners the very best opportunities to succeed.
