Emma has worked in education since 2004 starting with foundation all the way through sixth form. She qualified as a TA in 2005 and then studied for her HLTA status in 2008. She has always worked with students with SEND as well as mainstream. CTSW is a great place to work. Everybody supports each other and the learners are a joy to be around. She is passionate that all students have access to education and fulfill their highest potential. She uses humour to relax and tension or anxieties, she finds this always helps. She loves to read, crochet and spend time with all her family. She has one son and two giant maine coon bcats. She loves colour so she is easily spotted!

Bekka is currently in her final year of an integrated master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling. Her previous experience includes working in a voluntary role where she supported young people and gained valuable insight into therapeutic work. She developed team leadership skills from her previous work and a background in hairdressing. Bekka brings a breadth of experience and a people-focused approach to her practice. Bekka enjoys being part of CTSW, where working within such a supportive and passionate team that Bekka feels is both rewarding and inspiring. Her role allows Bekka to pursue her commitment to promoting positive mental health in young people, something she feels deeply passionate about. Outside of her studies and work, Bekka enjoys expressing creativity through crafting and baking, as well as spending time outdoors on walks in nature.

Gee holds a Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy and a Level 3 in Business Administration, combining creative flair with strong organizational skills. She enjoys being part of CTSW, describing it as a wonderful place to work where the staff are always patient, supportive, and welcoming. Beyond her professional role, she has a passion for crystals, tarot cards, and experimenting with bold, funky hair colours. In her free time, she enjoys watching anime and practicing cross stitch, which allows her to express her creativity in different ways.

As PA to the SLT, Imogen is responsible for managing complex schedules, coordinating high-level meetings, and providing day-to-day support to senior leaders. Her attention to detail, discretion, and ability to anticipate needs make her an invaluable part of the team. In her role as HR Coordinator, Imogen supports a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. He is also responsible for aspects of internal and external marketing, communications, and events, as well as building strong links with local schools, employers, community groups, and media to promote CTSW.

Jess began her career in childcare, qualifying as a childcare practitioner before completing her teacher training at the University of St Marks and St Johns. Following graduation, she worked as a Year One teacher before progressing into her current role as an Early Years teacher. She is also undertaking training to become a qualified assessor, further enhancing her ability to support and develop others within the education sector. Jess finds working at CTSW incredibly rewarding, as no two days are ever the same. Her role is both varied and meaningful, enabling her to make a positive impact on learners who share her passion for educating children. She values the supportive and inspiring culture at CTSW, where both colleagues and learners demonstrate dedication and motivation. The organisation’s values strongly align with her own, which was a key factor in her decision to join the team. She is deeply passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments where learners can flourish and become the best Early Years educators they can be. With a practical, hands-on teaching style, she encourages learners to explore diverse approaches and build their skills through varied and interactive experiences. This hands-on expertise provides him with an invaluable understanding of the trade, making him an exceptional leader for the team. Mat has a strong background in apprenticeships and works closely with employers to ensure our courses remain up-to-date with the latest legislation, developments, and industry standards. His dedication to continuous improvement and industry relevance ensures that our learners receive the most relevant and practical training possible. As a leader, Mat empowers his team of assessors, fostering a collaborative approach to teaching and learning. He brings valuable skills to employers by teaching apprentices practical expertise they may not always get the chance to practise on-site. For example, he shares in-depth knowledge of complex spray machines, ensuring learners leave with confidence and competence. Ian is dedicated to sparking creativity in his apprentices — inspiring them to think differently, build their awareness, and leave college with the skills and knowledge that set them apart in their careers.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Jack then took the leap into self-employment, honing his craft through real-world projects and further expanding his skill set. Now, returning to the educational field, Jack combines his practical experience and teaching background to provide students with engaging, relevant, and effective carpentry instruction. With over 25 years of lifelong experience working in the fields of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and mental health, Mark is dedicated to supporting learners in overcoming barriers and reaching their full potential. Holding a BA in Special Educational Needs and Disability Studies, he is currently Studying MA Social Policy for his Master's degree, and has previously completed a Level 2 Bricklaying Qualification. He enjoys supporting learners and creating a safe space so they can express themselves and break through their barriers, helping everyone to thrive and succeed. Outside of his work, Mark has spent much of his life immersed in football as a player, manager, and referee, gaining experience that has enriched his teamwork and leadership skills. In his free time, he enjoys birdwatching, walking his family dog Teddy and visiting lifelong friends in Bristol.

Kerry joined CTSW after spending 16 years self-employed as a karate instructor, where she built a strong reputation for motivating and supporting learners of all ages. Teaching martial arts not only gave her the opportunity to develop people’s physical skills but also to nurture their confidence, discipline and self-belief — qualities she continues to promote in her work today. When Kerry first visited CTSW earlier this year, she was immediately struck by the organisation’s supportive and learner-centred approach. She recognised how the training programmes are designed to be accessible and inclusive, giving every apprentice the chance to succeed. This ethos strongly aligns with Kerry’s own belief that all training providers should offer alternative provision, as no two people learn in the same way. Kerry has always been passionate about helping others. Her focus is on making a genuine difference, encouraging learners to see the best in themselves and guiding them towards becoming the best version of who they want to be. By creating a positive, encouraging learning environment, she aims to help students grow in both skill and self-confidence, leaving CTSW with the tools to achieve their goals. Her commitment to inclusion, personal growth and learner success makes her an inspiring part of the CTSW team. Outside of work, Kerry enjoys spending quality time with her son, valuing family life as an important source of balance and motivation.

His career has taken him around the world, feeding crews under pressure and in challenging conditions—experience that shaped not only his cooking skills but his discipline, leadership, and calm under fire. For the past 10+ years, Rob has been a cornerstone of the college community, running the catering department with precision, pride, and heart. More than just serving meals, he’s committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel seen, respected, and well-fed—often a key part of helping them engage and thrive. Rob's passion for good food and good people aligns perfectly with the college’s ethos. Whether he’s mentoring students in the kitchen or ensuring no one goes hungry, Rob plays a vital role in keeping both morale and energy high.

Nathan’s professional journey has equipped him with a broad range of skills, from leading kitchen teams and managing operations to creating innovative menus and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Alongside his industry expertise, Nathan is particularly passionate about promoting healthy choices and balanced diets. Dedicated to learner success, Kirstie is committed to fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere that enables individuals to feel comfortable, motivated, and confident in their studies. Outside of work, Kirstie is a keen swimmer, regularly attending sessions several times a week. She also enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren.

With over 26 years of experience in the beauty and makeup industry, Amanda brings a wealth of expertise and passion to CTSW. For the past 13 years, she has taught Beauty Therapy and Makeup Artistry, working across a range of teaching establishments and inspiring learners to build their skills, confidence and creativity. Amanda continues to practise her craft alongside teaching, running a home-based beauty business where she offers a wide range of treatments. Over the years, many of her clients have become close friends — something she values deeply, as it reflects the importance she places on kindness, trust and genuine connection. Passionate about equality and respect, Amanda believes in helping others feel valued and supported, both in and out of the classroom. Nothing gives her more joy than helping someone to feel good about themselves, or seeing a learner achieve something they never thought possible. She describes herself as someone who always strives to “straighten someone’s crown” and help them become the best version of themselves. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending quality time with her family, dining out at restaurants, and going to the cinema with her partner. She also loves long weekends away, especially those that involve relaxing in hot tubs, and finds reading in the sunshine one of life’s simple pleasures. For a real treat, she indulges in Elemis facials and hot stone massages. What Amanda enjoys most about CTSW is the “super-duper” team she is surrounded by. She values the shared commitment to student experience and the strong sense of teamwork, where every member of staff is focused on giving learners the very best opportunities to succeed.
