Rob brings over three decades of culinary experience to his role as Head of Catering, including 22 years serving as a chef in the Royal Navy. His career has taken him around the world, feeding crews under pressure and in challenging conditions—experience that shaped not only his cooking skills but his discipline, leadership, and calm under fire. For the past 10+ years, Rob has been a cornerstone of the college community, running the catering department with precision, pride, and heart. More than just serving meals, he’s committed to creating a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel seen, respected, and well-fed—often a key part of helping them engage and thrive. Rob's passion for good food and good people aligns perfectly with the college’s ethos. Whether he’s mentoring students in the kitchen or ensuring no one goes hungry, Rob plays a vital role in keeping both morale and energy high.

Nathan brings a wealth of experience from the catering and hospitality industry, having embarked on his career at just 16 years old and achieving the role of Head Chef by the age of 23. Over the years, he has worked across a variety of settings, gaining valuable insight into the demands, creativity and dedication required to succeed in a fast-paced industry.
Nathan’s professional journey has equipped him with a broad range of skills, from leading kitchen teams and managing operations to creating innovative menus and delivering exceptional customer experiences. His ability to adapt, motivate and inspire has been central to his success, and these qualities now form the foundation of his teaching approach.
Alongside his industry expertise, Nathan is particularly passionate about promoting healthy choices and balanced diets. He believes food should not only be enjoyable but also play a key role in supporting wellbeing, and he is dedicated to sharing this ethos with his learners.
Passionate about nurturing future talent, Nathan is committed to passing on his knowledge and expertise to the next generation. He creates a fun, engaging and supportive learning environment where individuals can gain confidence, develop practical skills, explore their creativity and build an understanding of how to make positive choices around food and nutrition.

Kirstie was previously a Teaching Assistant at a school and was qualified as a Mental Health Support Worker before working at CTSW, providing a strong foundation in both education and wellbeing.
Since joining CTSW, Kirstie has become a valued member of the team, contributing to the organisation’s supportive and collaborative environment. Dedicated to learner success, Kirstie is committed to fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere that enables individuals to feel comfortable, motivated, and confident in their studies.
Outside of work, Kirstie is a keen swimmer, regularly attending sessions several times a week. She also enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren.
