Kerry joined CTSW after spending 16 years self-employed as a karate instructor, where she built a strong reputation for motivating and supporting learners of all ages. Teaching martial arts not only gave her the opportunity to develop people’s physical skills but also to nurture their confidence, discipline and self-belief — qualities she continues to promote in her work today. When Kerry first visited CTSW earlier this year, she was immediately struck by the organisation’s supportive and learner-centred approach. She recognised how the training programmes are designed to be accessible and inclusive, giving every apprentice the chance to succeed. This ethos strongly aligns with Kerry’s own belief that all training providers should offer alternative provision, as no two people learn in the same way. Kerry has always been passionate about helping others. Her focus is on making a genuine difference, encouraging learners to see the best in themselves and guiding them towards becoming the best version of who they want to be. By creating a positive, encouraging learning environment, she aims to help students grow in both skill and self-confidence, leaving CTSW with the tools to achieve their goals. Her commitment to inclusion, personal growth and learner success makes her an inspiring part of the CTSW team. Outside of work, Kerry enjoys spending quality time with her son, valuing family life as an important source of balance and motivation.
